ABOUT THE JOB
As the Physical Security Manager for the Arsenal manufacturing plant, you will be responsible for safeguarding the physical assets, personnel, and sensitive information at Anduril’s flagship factory. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement comprehensive security protocols aligned with industry best practices, ensuring the protection of critical national security materials. You will lead a team of security professionals, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to handle an array of security challenges. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will continuously assess and mitigate risks, manage crisis situations, and ensure compliance with all government regulations. Your strategic leadership will be essential in enhancing our physical security posture against evolving threats.
What You'll Do:
- Design Collaboration: Participate in design meetings to integrate security considerations into site planning and operations.
- Develop and Implement Security Strategies: Create and enforce comprehensive physical security policies and procedures tailored to the needs of the manufacturing plant.
- Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of internal and contracted security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct regular security audits and assessments, recommending enhancements to improve overall security measures.
- Regulatory Compliance: In partnership with cross-functional security teams, liaise with government agencies to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations affecting security operations.
- Access Control Management: Oversee the deployment of access control systems and surveillance technology to ensure effective monitoring and security.
- Crisis Management Planning: Implement emergency response and crisis management plans, including regular drills and training.
- Event Security Coordination: Coordinate security efforts during high-profile events and visits to the manufacturing facility.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget and resources allocated for security infrastructure and personnel.
- Community Relations: Foster relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services to enhance security collaboration.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports for executive management on security status, incident response, and recommendations for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the security team, encouraging feedback and adapting to emerging threats.
- Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest security trends and technologies, implementing innovative solutions as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience, preferably in a defense, manufacturing or high-security environment.
- Strong understanding of physical security principles, access control systems, and surveillance technology.
- Proven experience in managing a team and interfacing with executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures.
