SALARY RANGE: $194,928 - 246,334 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) 

Nokia of America Corporation, Senior Software Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA. Design, implement, support and maintain routing and Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) software used for telecommunications equipment. Design software and work with product management and product development teams to identify the best approach to develop a new feature, enhance an existing feature, or solve a software issue given a set of requirements. Implement software and putting it into effect using appropriate data structures and algorithms in C/C++ code. Provide support during quality assurance and product release phases by debugging and solving problems that arise in the software after it is implemented. Perform continuous improvement in areas such as memory usage reduction, performance optimization, and code simplification. Provide measurable input into new products, processes, or standards in support of business strategies. Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field and 5 years of post-Bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; or a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field and 3 years of related work experience. 

 

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Computer architecture; Embedded real-time development skills, including C/C++ programming skills; Data structures and algorithm fundamentals; Advanced operating system fundamentals, including kernel operations, scheduling, memory management, and semaphores; MPLS technology and protocols in computer networking, including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and LDP.

 

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Sunnyvale, CA may be permitted up to 40%.
