About the role

At FNBO, our employees are the heart of our story—and we’re committed to their success! Please see below the details of this career opportunity and how it fits into our organization’s success.

Summary of the Job:

We are seeking a Data Analyst with 3–5 years of experience in financial data analysis to support FNBO's individual lending segment and regulatory reporting obligations. This role covers two core functions: (1) credit risk analytics across our residential and consumer lending portfolios (excluding credit card and point of sale) — primarily residential mortgages, HELOCs, HELOANs, and consumer secured products including auto and stock-secured loans — and (2) data preparation and management supporting regulatory submissions to the Federal Reserve (Call Reports) and the OCC. The ideal candidate combines analytical depth with the precision and auditability mindset required in a regulated environment and can translate complex portfolio dynamics into clear narratives for internal stakeholders.

About This Role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Individual Segment Credit Analytics — Own data analysis and reporting for FNBO's individual lending segment. Track portfolio performance across key risk metrics including delinquency rates, NCO rates, and non-performing loan ratios. Develop trend and snapshot analyses across product lines and translate findings into clear narratives that help leadership understand portfolio health and emerging risk.
  • Regulatory Reporting Support — Manage data supporting recurring regulatory submissions including Federal Reserve Call Reports and OCC examination packages. Ensure accuracy, definitional alignment with regulatory requirements, and full auditability of reported figures across relevant schedules (e.g., RC-C, RC-N) and, where applicable, HMDA obligations.
  • Data Management & Documentation — Execute end-to-end data workflows including extraction, transformation, validation, and visualization. Document processes clearly enough that work can be reproduced, extended, or audited by others.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner with Credit Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure analytical outputs reflect business reality and support both management and regulatory objectives.
  • Tooling & Reporting — Leverage Python, SQL, and Microsoft Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot) to build and maintain analytical deliverables for both recurring and ad hoc needs.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Systems, Economics, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of data analysis experience in financial services; banking strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with individual/consumer lending products — residential mortgages, HELOCs, HELOANs, or consumer secured — and core credit risk concepts (delinquency, LTV, CLTV, and DTI).
  • Working knowledge of bank regulatory reporting; direct Call Report or OCC exam experience is a meaningful differentiator.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL with at least 1–2 years of hands-on application.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot; DAX proficiency valued.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — ability to tell a clear story from complex data.
  • High attention to detail with comfort operating in regulated environments where accuracy is non-negotiable.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
