The Senior Software Engineer- Engineering Excellence position is an individual contributor role based in our Austin office. The successful candidate is expected to be a full stack software engineer who is well versed in utilizing software in the Automation of developer tools (CI/CD, Monitoring, Provisioning, etc), UI frameworks, API’s, Service based design and abstraction from off-the-shelf Tools.

The selected candidate will be responsible for development of reusable software frameworks in a wide variety of technologies, languages and databases.  Candidate must be willing to adopt new technologies based on team's needs and priorities.

The Reimagine Work team is the driving force behind Visa’s Technology & Business Process Transformation toward Enterprise Agility. We build and operationalize tools and processes to enable transparency, faster decision making, and agility in delivery of Visa products and services. This is a large-scale effort, reaching 5,000 plus team members.

Visa is embarking on an initiative to standardize our developer tools and processes.  As a Senior Software Engineer – Engineering Excellence you will be a driver of this transformation.  You will be responsible to define efficiencies, research options, understand the intricate needs of the teams and implement solutions for them.

You will be responsible for driving standardization in tooling where necessary while enabling extensibility when it makes sense.

Essential Functions

• Provide technical direction and hands on leadership to multiple teams to help them transform to best in class engineering technologies
• Lead org wide initiatives to listen and identify concerns, ideate and implement solutions that enable engineering excellence and productivity
• Coordinates and drives teams in multiple geographical locations and time zones toward common goals and timelines.
• Implement common patterns to enable Engineering Excellence, Operational Excellence, code reuse and extensibility
• Make data driven decisions and track progress by bringing together multiple disparate sources of data
• Be a champion of secure solutions

This is a hybrid position. Hyb
