About the Role & Team

In the Environmental Sustainability Line of Business, we are responsible for setting the strategy and leading the planning and development of environmental projects to achieve The Walt Disney Company’s environmental goals.

As the Environmental Sustainability Integration Manager, you will be responsible for leading the integration and strategic planning activities across the Disney Experiences segment to achieve The Walt Disney Company environmental goals. Initiatives span environmental areas such as zero waste to landfill, food waste reduction, circular economy, plastics reduction, water conservation, energy efficiencies, emissions reduction for scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, sustainable design and development among others.

In this role, you will report to the Environmental Sustainability Director.

What You Will Do

  • Lead segment strategic planning and integration, driving program development, building consolidated roadmaps across the segment for each goal, and while fostering collaboration across business units to identify regional risks and opportunities and accelerate innovative solutions efforts towards the Company’s environmental goals
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and lead planning and integration of segment environmental opportunities with The Walt Disney Company Corporate Sustainability partners to present the segment opportunities and translate internal and external environmental issues
  • Support design of a company-wide tracking and reporting tool that provides a consolidated view of progress for both internal use and external disclosure, as well as multi-level dashboard reporting to meet a diverse level of needs
  • Lead quarterly consolidated reporting roll-up activities across all segment environmental initiatives ensuring the appropriate level of rigor and backup documentation and develop processes and tools to enable tracking and reporting. , providing historical views of achievements and projections of both what is expected to deliver and additional potential opportunities
  • Represent the company through public speaking engagements
  • Enable effective collaboration among global partners, supporting local initiative development and prioritization at each business unit, coordinating development and management of strategic roadmaps and for each goal, maintaining a consolidated view across the segment, and driving extension of programs across the segment and faster velocity to implementation

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven leadership, communication and influencing skills with an ability to build trust-based collaborative partnerships across various stakeholder groups located in different countries
  • Demonstrated experience in developing/implementing sustainability programs with understanding of SBTi, RECs and Natural Climate Solutions.
  • Project large scale project management skills to develop clear scope, schedule, budget, and roadmaps to meet a defined end-goal
  • Facilitation skills with ability to simplify messages for clarity across diverse global audiences of all levels
  • Experience developing and leading strategic roadmaps, schedules, and related initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction and handle highly confidential information
  • Able to work occasional irregular hours to accommodate international time zones
  • Ability to spend an average 5-20 hours per week doing field work, hosting partners onstage and backstage, performing studies, handling waste in a variety of different weather conditions, and a comfortability to lift up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure, awareness or hands on experience within finance and budgeting for projects.
  • Familiarity with local and international Sustainability disclosure frameworks like SBTi, CSRD, TCFD and others.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sustainability, engineering, analytics, business, project management, or related field or equivalent work experience of five or more years

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
