What the Role Involves:
As a Refrigeration Construction Foreman, you'll be responsible for the field oversite and direction of technicians to maintain quality workmanship for refrigeration installations, at new stores and remodel construction jobs.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years’ relevant experience of leading and directing refrigeration installations on jobsites.
- Valid State Driver’s License
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven leadership qualities with the ability to effectively and efficiently run a job and crew.
- Ability to create and modify work schedules to adapt to ever-changing construction deadlines, delays, and weather obstacles.
- Able to conduct, and document toolbox safety meetings. Organizational skills necessary to manage and always maintain highly productive work environment.
- Solid customer service skills with a proven track record of effective communication on all levels from; General Contractor, Subcontractor, Inspector, Laborer, etc.
- Respect the importance of ensuring Company assets (vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, etc.); are properly and continuously maintained in good repair and secured in a safe and secure manner.
- General knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with equipment, including routine service and maintenance; washing, check fluids, tire pressures, grease, etc.
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to perform accurate material takeoffs and procure materials as necessary
- Able to assist w/sourcing local subcontractors when necessary
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Computer Skills – must have strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Email) and other system applications currently being used (Maxwell, etc.). Strong work ethic, self-motivated and a professional attitude
