Job Summary

ByteDance is expanding its premium food service program, and we are seeking a Senior Executive Chef to lead culinary operations within a fast-growing, innovative tech environment. This is a unique opportunity to elevate an already successful, chef-driven program into a gold standard for workplace dining. You will oversee all aspects of culinary execution, including menu innovation, catering, food cost controls, and team leadership in a well-resourced, collaborative setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Lead and inspire the culinary team across café, board meals, and catering

• Develop seasonal, health-conscious menus aligned with ByteDance’s global food values

• Ensure excellence in food quality, safety, and presentation (ServSafe® required)

• Manage purchasing, inventory, and food cost controls

• Analyze operational performance and implement process improvements

• Train and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and growth

• Represent and uphold ByteDance’s commitment to sustainability and wellness in food offerings

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Culinary degree preferred; Bachelor's in Food Service Management or related field a plus

• 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen leadership experience

• Experience managing high-volume corporate catering

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Deep knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, and cost control

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based tools
