Machine Maintenance Tech (WEEKEND DAYS)

Job Description:

As a Machine Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for carrying out prescribed preventative maintenance on our various machines as well as troubleshooting downtime issues. Our machines primarily consist of pneumatic metal roll formers, polishing lathes, and hydraulic presses. Attention to detail and mechanical adeptness is required. Recording of maintenance logs is electronic and will require some computer skills. This position is a permanent maintenance role that will continue to develop while delivering an ongoing preventative maintenance and repair program.   

 

The hours for this role are Friday through Sunday, from 6:00am to 7:00pm, scheduled 36 hours.

Qualifications

Essential functions

• Ensure all safety instructions and procedures are always followed
• Troubleshooting and adjusting hydraulics and other non-electrical components
• Recording all maintenance in internal QT9 system
• Registering new machines and setting up appropriate preventative schedules
• Troubleshooting machine operating issues
• Occasionally working with wiring: 110-240 volt, 30A, including 3 phase
• As able, assisting with other maintenance dept. duties
• Must maintain orderly and organized workspace (tools are all provided)

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Work independently / Self starter
• Independently search out and identify machine issues, symptoms, patterns that lead to machine down-time
• Knowledge of tools used in electrical and maintenance trades
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow & take direction
• Familiarity with manufacturing a plus
• Ability to work as part of a team, including partnerships with Machine shop, and Engineering
