Position Summary

The Regional Vice President of Operations reports to the COO and is a relational and tactical leader that identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities, oversees regional performance, and collaborates with Physicians, Corporate Functions, as well as ASC and Clinical leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Practice Administrators and Clinical Managers to achieve operational, financial, and patient care goals.
  • Analyze practice performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks; develop and implement action plans accordingly.
  • Conduct regular on-site office visits to improve the patient’s experience and day-to-day operational workflows.
  • Coordinate with National Director of Physician Recruitment to determine physician hiring needs, interview physician candidates, and negotiate employment agreement.
  • Build strong relationships with all physicians, especially Managing Partner physicians at each practice.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including IT, Procurement/Facilities, Training and Development, Human Resources, Marketing, and Compliance.
  • Coordinate with Ambulatory Surgery Center leadership to ensure seamless coordination between clinic and ASC.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial goals are met; full P&L responsibility.
  • Lead projects across all CompEye regions related to growth and operational improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in the field of medical practice or healthcare including 3 years in upper management required.
  • Multi-site healthcare management experience required (physician practice management preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proven P&L management experience, with the ability to analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and drive revenue growth.
  • Proven success in driving growth and operational excellence.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another industry-related field required; MBA preferred.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
