Position Overview
The Total Rewards team at QinetiQ US is responsible for all elements of benefits and compensation for our ~1,400 employees. The Senior Compensation Analyst is a new position that has responsibility for all components of compensation, including strategy and design of new programs and administration of current programs. You will be the subject matter expert on compensation and will have the opportunity to be creative in building compensation strategies. You’ll have the responsibility to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The team partners with the business and our HR business partners to attract and retain talent critical to the company’s success. This position reports to the Senior Director of Total Rewards.
This position offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule. Ability to come to one of our three Northern Virginia locations is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Administer base pay strategies, policies and programs. This includes conducting job evaluations, market pricing and providing recommendations and support to the design process. Conduct FLSA evaluations.
- Working with our People Data Analyst, responsible for job structure management within SuccessFactors, our HCM.
- Provide integral support for annual salary planning, which includes submission of and management of salary surveys. Provide review, analysis and recommendations for current roles and overall salary structure.
- Act as project manager for compensation initiatives, such as annual merit planning, including change management strategy and project plan.
- Develop strong partnerships with HR business partners, recruiting and business leaders in the organization in order to identify and solve compensation related issues and provide consultative expertise.
- Conduct research, analyze data and identify trends in compensation and continually review current practices and policies to ensure that best practices are being utilized. Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
- Assist in developing and delivering training and programs and presentations for educating HR business partners and managers about compensation-related topics and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Five to seven or more years of progressive experience in compensation
- High level of expertise in Excel, including formulas, charts, graphs, pivot tables and other advanced capabilities
- Three or more years' experience using HCM software (SuccessFactors, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
- Proven experience clearly presenting and communicating data, analyses, and findings both visually and through written and oral communications
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
- Experience with Payscale/MarketPay
- Experience in Government Contracting and/or high technology industry
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors a plus
