Finance & Strategy - Senior Analyst

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Finance & Strategy Analyst to join the Block Corporate Finance group to help drive forecasting cycles, enable capital allocation decisions across our business, and provide analytical support to our business partners to help solve difficult problems. In addition, this role will partner closely with the entire Finance & Strategy organization to drive narrative and lead consolidations. We believe good ideas can come from anywhere, and we'll rely on you to work with others, form intelligent opinions, and present your thoughts to decision-makers and company executives.

You Will

• Provide financial planning and analysis support to our business partners across multiple functions
• Lead Operating Expenses consolidations and help own reviews with senior leadership
• Create analyses that facilitates clear decisions-making
• Evaluate our performance; report the performance; identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data
• Partner with departments (e.g. Accounting, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, and others) to report on the financial impact of decisions across the company
• Prepare analysis and support communication to board members and executive staff

You Have

• 3+ years of experience, with excellent modeling and business partnership skills 
• Experience in an operating role within FP&A, Corporate Finance, consulting, investment banking, or a similar field preferred
• Proven proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information appropriately for different audiences
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Experience with SQL/Hyperion a plus

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
