SUMMARY

As a Mission Autonomy Project Engineer, you will manage the engineering development, integration, and cross-functional process execution of Anduril products. These projects will be diverse in nature, span hardware and software technologies, and require you to be organized and flexible to adapt to changing situations. On one project, you may be working to clarify how technical requirements can be met through engineering development of new products, including the plan, scope, and work required. In another situation, you may be helping to execute vital product development processes that span multiple technical and non-technical functions within Anduril. During all this, you must be able to successfully work with a wide variety of stakeholders, communicate plans clearly to all parties, and coordinate across teams to achieve the desired end state.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead and participate in developmental and integration of mission autonomy capabilities, utilizing surrogate vehicles in a fast-paced test environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to integrate test requirements with system capabilities and mission objectives.
  • Scope engineering plans/milestones, schedule, resources, and risks to ensure all development objectives are meticulously planned and successfully executed.
  • Own and execute on hardware-related processes related to inventory management, procurement, and demand/supply planning to enable programs across the Mission Autonomy Business Line.
  • Manage and support execution of cross-functional processes that are vital to project goals. This will include interfacing with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, operations, test, and logistics.
  • Provide critical feedback and insight into the development process, shaping the evolution of Anduril's mission autonomy technology.
  • Support the continuous improvement of development processes and engineering documentation.
  • Deconflict engineering resources with other Anduril programs and initiatives, ensuring seamless operation and resource allocation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in test coordination and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an execution role for robotics development, with emphasis on autonomous or remotely piloted systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading complex projects from conception to completion.
  • Familiarity with technical troubleshooting and knowledge for robotics systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, influencing project direction and achieving critical milestones.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, adept at conveying intricate plans and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and willingness to travel to test sites as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical or management field.
  • Direct experience in leading projects related to Unmanned Air Vehicle development within the robotics, defense, or aerospace sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pixhawk autopilot systems and ArduPilot flight stack, including integration, configuration, customization, and testing of unmanned vehicles.
