What you will do!
Medical Assistant support the work of psychiatry staff (Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners). In particular, this position supports the documentation work of the psychiatry staff, which continues to increase in volume and complexity due to changes in regulations and standards of practice, and the use of an electronic medical record.
Obtain and provide clinical data that supports medical decision-making by the psychiatry staff. This may be obtained from the medical record and/or from the patient.
Provide support to the Psychiatry department broadly by obtaining data or coordinating activities which support excellence in psychiatric care and patient coverage.
