JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: REHANGER/EVIS

I.          ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB
            The essential functions of this position includes, but is not limited to:

            1.         From a standing position, pick up and hang birds approx. 3.5-6.5 pounds by                                   both legs in shackles shoulder height, 16 inches from the body, approx. 5 per minute.
            2.         Visually inspect birds for any defects.
            3.         Use of both hands and arms required.
            4.         Must stand on metal platform for up to 8 hours.
            5.         Must be able to tolerate warm environments.

Must be able to work in Area that will be between 55-60 degrees.

II.        MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

            1.         Use of both hands and arms to pick up, inspect, and hang birds 3.5-6.5 pounds from                      conveyor at waist level to shackles 16 inches from the body at shoulder height.
            2.         Use full range of peripheral vision to inspect birds on conveyors and shackles for                          defects.
            3.         Lift a minimum of 25 pounds and repetitive lifting of 6 pounds throughout the work                      shift.
            4.         Standing 100% of the work shift.
            5.         Minimal bending required to place birds or to clear conveyor.
