IT Director of Network Operations and Security

This role has a hybrid work schedule, and would require onsite at our site in Lafayette Hill, PA approximately 4 times each month.  

 

Position Details: 

The Director Network Operations and Security will draw on past experience to provide strategic, administrative, and technical leadership that plans, executes, maintains, and controls the Merakey's technology infrastructure, including all aspects of the Information Security Program. This role oversees all aspects of data center operations including management and day-to-day operation of all Merakey networks and domains.  The position will be responsible for providing strategic and hands-on operational leadership for the organization’s infrastructure services including, but not limited to, LANs / WANs, wireless, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, telephony (VoIP), and network security.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and have experience performing related duties: 

• Manage and provide direct oversight of staff (Teams: Network Operations, System Operations, Telecom, and Security) executing all aspects of network operations including the planning, acquisition, implementation, integration, and support of data network hardware and software, security and performance of routine maintenance.  

• Coordinates the assignment of resources to IT support projects, operations, and end-user incidents.  Ensures a strong customer service experience where users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service 

• Investigate, coordinate, and respond to information security breaches/incidents, industry alerts, and industry surveys, and coordinate and/or participate in information security-related exercises. 

• Coordinate third-party compliance reviews of the Company’s controls (SRA, pen tests, etc.) and develop plans for any required remediation 

• Develop strategies and support plans to consistently exceed performance objectives in a highly dynamic and changing environment; proactively identify any gaps and propose mitigation plans. 

• Manages the inventory, support and maintenance of all network technology assets, including, but not limited to: servers, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and storage devices. 

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for infrastructure administration and ensure compliance with organizational standards, practices and methodologies. Maintain and update all technical and procedural documentation including but not limited to network diagrams and SOPS. 

• Manage and provide support for the company-wide routing, switching and security. Recommend, implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve the performance, scalability and security of the network 

• Direct the planning and performance of network and system availability including overseeing network architecture to provide redundant syste
