• Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Nights, Rotating Weekends)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Operating Room team. In this role, you will assume responsibility for providing exceptional care to trauma patients in a high-acuity environment. As a member of the surgical team, you will support the preparation and execution of trauma surgeries, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure quality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care & Surgery Support:
  • Provide high-quality care to trauma patients through the nursing process, therapeutic use of self, and the environment/instrumentation.
  • Assist with patient preparation for surgery, and provide support during and post-operation in a trauma operating room setting.
• Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Work closely with the surgical team, including physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs, to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination of care and patient monitoring during surgery.

Qualifications:

• Licensing:

  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).

• Certifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of trauma operating room acute care experience.
  • Trauma operating room experience in an acute care setting is required.
