Job Description:

To improve the overall productivity of our Tech Services and Operations teams and reduce the risk of inadvertently disrupting business by automating existing operational workflows. The Automation Coordinator will identify repetitive tasks and activities that may be performed more efficiently through automation. This role will also identify critical workflows that could be performed in a more reliable/predictable fashion through automation. Provides ‘hands on’ responsibility for installing, configuring and operating specific automation solutions in our production environment

What will I do?

• Identify existing operational tasks, procedures and activities that would serve as opportunities for automation
• Collaborate with key members of Tech Services and Operations to identify chronic operational issues that require extensive staff time to remediate
• Participate in capacity planning, provisioning and scaling of the application infrastructure
• Achieve quantifiable operational benefits through the implementation of ITSM automation practices
• Establish a  strategic, multi-year road map for automating repetitive/critical workflows within Tech services and collaborate with Operation managers and staff in replacing those process with automated practices
• Identify workflows that could be performed in a more reliable/predictable fashion through automation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Experience in the installation, configuration and administration of applications
• 2 or more years related work experience
• Working knowledge of IT Operations best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with return on investment analysis in comparison of as-is vs. to-be state of environments and processes
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Advanced system aptitude, including experience with system configuration, integration and knowledge of how systems interrelate
