What You Will Do:

Support Pratt & Whitney’s Government Security Compliance department as a Principal Security Specialist (P3) responsible for the implementation of the industrial security program and ensuring company, DCSA, and customer security requirements are met. The person in this role will work under the guidance and direction of Security Operations Team Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with all levels of leadership and government management personnel.

  • Analyze security issues/problems and provide focused solutions.

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and documentation specific to the program such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Transportation Plans, etc. 

  • Assist in the completion of annual and event-based security compliance inspections and audits.

  • Respond to deficiencies/findings discovered during audits and follow up with appropriate corrective actions.

  • Provide security briefings and debriefings in accordance with the government security requirements.

  • Assist with investigations of security infractions/violations and preparing reports.

  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience within a government regulated environment; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree (or 2-year technical training) and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma and 9+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • Active U.S. government issued Secret level security clearance required plus ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance with SAP/SCI access.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Professional Certifications/Affiliations

  • Working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 and DoD Manual 5205.07

  • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems

  • Project management experience and coordination skills related to working with government officials, contractors, and internal teams

  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
