Challenge to Excellence Charter School, a high performing, premiere STEAM school in Douglas County, is looking for a full-time 6th-8th Grade Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Challenge to Excellence is an academically advanced charter school that specializes in STEAM education.

    

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the mission and vision of the school through:

• Designing and implementing standards-aligned curriculum

• Planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

• Differentiating lessons for students with learning plans.

• Integrating the use of technology to provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.

• Observing, evaluating, encouraging, and providing feedback on students’ progress and development in the coursework.

• Implementing data-driven instruction.

• Managing student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintaining discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the school, and applying appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.

• Performing certain duties including, but not limited to, participating in team, school, and parent meetings.

Qualifications: 

• Colorado Initial or Professional Colorado Teaching License or the equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree or higher

• Preferred: 2 years or more teaching experience, preferably in Middle School

• Preferred: Experience with Infinite Campus and Google products

• Must successfully pass reference checks, background checks and/or licensure verification

Salary:

Term: Full-time (180 contact days)

Salary: $55,808-$75,000, plus benefits
