Coastal Hospice invites you to join a team who ensures that every patient and family is honored, supported and comforted as they receive the right care and the right time throughout their journey. In your role as part-time Environmental & Dietary Aide at the Macky & Pam Stansell House in Ocean Pines, you will:
Work 24-30 hours/week with alternating weekends, and:
- Provide consistent, high quality hospice experience for every resident and guest of the Stansell House.
- Prepare and delivers breakfast and lunch and pre-prepares the evening meal for completion by other Stansell House staff.
- Assure the kitchen is neat and clean.
- Restock pantry shelves as needed.
- Complete laundry according to established schedule and as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the common areas including: sunroom, family areas, spa, outside porch and patio.
- Prepare residence rooms for admission and perform a comprehensive clean after discharge.
- Communicate daily with Team Leader/designee to outline/address any concerns.
- Maintain a safe physical environment.
- Embrace the philosophy of hospice and palliative care.
- Ensure local, state, and federal regulations are maintained in all maintenance, kitchen, and cleaning matters.
- Handle all ordering and stocking of supplies.
- Perform other related duties/tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Reading comprehension for menus, recipes, dietary restrictions, and cleaning/hazard labels.
- Proficiency in kitchen and cleaning regulatory requirements, or the ability to learn.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and to communicate effectively.
