Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely 2-3 days a week, with on-site presence as needed. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of efficiently handling a high volume of tax preparation work, primarily focusing on preparing both business and individual tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare business and individual tax returns accurately and efficientlyHandle a high volume of tax preparation work within established deadlinesGather and analyze client financial information to ensure accurate tax filingsMake appropriate bookkeeping entries as neededCommunicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address any inquiriesStay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in tax filings
Qualifications:3+ years of experience in tax preparation (Required)Strong proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office suiteExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and efficiently manage time and workloadStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred, but not required
