About the role

Position: Operations Account Specialist

Compensation:  $75k- $80k
 

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Plan, quote, enter, direct, and monitor domestic shipments
  • Ensure all customer instructions are entered into the system
  • Ensure necessary shipment milestones are present and in correct order
  • Work with operations team to determine routing for required service level 
  • Negotiating rates with vendors and request spot quotes
  • Accruing vendor costs and working to revolve any variances
  • Sending invoices to the customers
  • Ensure freight and documentation meets security, TSA, and company compliance programs
  • Track and monitor entire process of cargo movement and keep customers up to date on movement details 
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years freight forwarding operations or account management experience preferred
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volume of transactions
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with other organizations 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented
