The Medical Assistant functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care in the physician practice setting. The Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and patient care supportive duties in a medical practice that assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensure the clinic/office runs smoothly.
Qualifications
Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of an approved medical assistant program. Basic life support (BLS) required.
Formal Training: Clinical competence as Medical Assistant.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Certified Medical Assistant required.
Work Experience: Prior experience working in a medical practice setting preferred.
Customer Service: Outstanding customer service skills are required.
