Accountant, Retail, Seed Accounting

This position is required to be on-site and is located in Loveland, CO.

Reporting to the Manager, Seed Accounting, the Seed Accountant will be responsible for accounting for seed operations activity. This includes monthly journal entries, data analysis, transactional research, and reporting. The Seed Accountant will work closely with branch and division personnel to ensure transactions are accurate and matched with supplier reimbursements as timely as possible.
 

What you will do:
 

• Month-end accruals, allocation entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accurate clearing of activity as appropriate.
• Coordinate with retail branches, internal, and external stakeholders to assist with seed transactions.
• Provide clarity to retail branches on proper seed accounting procedures via phone, webinar, and in person training as needed.
• Problem-solving and analysis, both independently and in collaborative environments.
• Complete audit requests as assigned.
• Learn and understand overall accounting impacts pertinent to role.
• Prepare, distribute, and assist the branch locations with monthly reports.
• Assist in planning and implementation of SAP, Vistex, and Power BI.
   

What you will bring:
 

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
• 0 - 3 years of practical accounting experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
• Organized with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel).
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Ability work well with variety of different business areas within the company.
• Ability to analyze issues and apply accounting standards to reflect accurate financial reportin.g
• PeopleSoft, SAP, Power BI experience a plus.
• Strong integrity and business ethics

 

Compensation & Benefits: 
 

Salary Range $59,300 - $110,200/annually. This range is estimated for Accountant, Retail, Seed Accounting in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
