What YOU will do

  • Execute objectives for requirements management, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.
  • Monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and recommend modifications to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
  • Manage work processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects. Research and evaluate investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization’s systems products and services.
  • Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
  • Perform analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Consider and evaluate alternatives accounting for similar metrics. Manage configuration process, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform architectural exploration.
  • Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer or related role.
  • Must also possess at least 3 years of experience with capturing and analyzing customer requirements.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with decomposing customer requirements into clear system and subsystem architecture/requirements.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with performing system integration and testing of complex systems.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with performing system design requiring planning and coordination of development tasks across multiple subsystem functional areas.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with developing system operation and requirement-based test cases and procedures.
  • Must possess at least 1 year of experience working with aircraft cabin management systems or in-flight entertainment systems development life cycle.
