Job Description

Qualifications:

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.

• Possess valid CDL B Driver's License with air brake endorsement; having at least 2 years of active experience.

• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position including extensive walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

• General operations experience in recycling and waste management.

• Have sufficient experience operating CDL B air brake endorsed automotive equipment including straight trucks, packer trash trucks, dump trucks, and/or box trucks.

• Ability to work with bulk trash removal and/or large appliances.

• Ability to adapt and work in a general university lifestyle including set-up, servicing, and/or breakdown of athletic and special events.

• Ability to understand and work all aspects of commercial snow removal, including skid steer operation, augers, brooms, spreaders, and ice melt application.

• Ability to adapt to changes in climate and working in inclement weather such as extreme heat/cold, snow, rain, and/or wind.

• Aptitude and general knowledge in maintaining equipment, general cleaning of work areas, and ability to keep a clean and safe work site.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
