Custodian, Part-time

Job Title: Custodian, Part-time (15 hrs/wk)
Reporting to: Pastor/Administrator
Location: St. Catherine Parish | Sebring, FL

Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt

Overview

St. Catherine Parish is currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-time Custodian to maintain parish facilities. Our ideal candidate is detailed, efficient, and thorough in their cleaning of the premises and handling of all duties with great care and timeliness.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Sweeping entry areas, clean all glass doors, and windows
• Removing trash, clean surfaces, and rearranging furniture as needed
• Sweeping and mopping of floors, and vacuuming carpets
• Cleaning and disinfecting all bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
• Stocking all cleaning supplies such as soap and paper products
• Adheres to the cleaning protocol
• Follows safety measures and disinfection guidelines
• Lockdown facilities at the end of the day
• Various cleaning duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous work experience as a maintenance worker, custodian, or janitor.
• An understanding of cleaning equipment and how to maintain them.
• Understanding of safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, climb continuously.
• Must pass level II background check with satisfactory results.
• Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam.
