HOSPICE BEREAVEMENT SPECIALIST PRN

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• MSW in social work. Licensure in the State of Iowa.
• Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements.
• Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy.
• Knowledge of Medicare and insurance industry.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements.
• 2 to 5 years of appropriate experience in bereavement facilitation preferred.
• Knowledge and acceptance of Hospice philosophy and care. Hospice experience preferred. 
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient for effective patient, family, and staff interaction.
• Completion of Hospice of Pella Volunteer Training Course or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
