The Product Quality Manager for Nook Devices is responsible for the product’s quality throughout the product life cycle. This position requires supporting risk returns analysis for the legal and customer service organizations, document and change control, qualification and reliability testing, working with various government and safety agencies to obtain regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance certifications, first article inspections, leading EFFA efforts after new product launch and refurbishment center qualification and support.
- Analyze risk returns and responds to requests from Legal and Customer Service.
- Work with various government and safety agencies to obtain regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance certifications for devices and accessories.
- Interface to testing laboratories for regulatory, environmental, and safety documentation.
- Perform document and change control.
- Maintain authorized users for Arena and submit annual PO for services to BN accounts payable.
- Perform first article inspections on new and CPO devices and accessories as required.
- Lead EFFA efforts after new product launch.
- Document EFFA SOPs and other requirements for use at refurbishment centers.
- Perform refurbishment center qualifications.
- Perform qualification and reliability testing as required on devices and accessories.
- Perform audits of OEM (when requested)
- Participate in weekly meetings with OEM to provide quality and reliability feedback.

- Primary – Legal, Customer Service, Program Management, Compliance, and offshore quality personnel
- Secondary – Automation Group
- Risk analysis, design and compliance documentation, device qualification testing and processes
- Sample coordination and testing
Review PQP requirement for OEM
Recommend regulatory agencies to be used
Review reliability test plans and results
Recommend quality escalations when warranted
Review CPK data on new products

Requirements
Education: BSEE or BSME degrees including ASQ Quality certification(s).
Experience: A minimum of 7 + years of relevant experience in either Manufacturing or the development of consumer electronics.
Technical Skills: Requires hands-on involvement driving resolution of quality issues and be able to minimize product quality risks. Experience with quality investigations, quality auditing and statistical quality analysis including quality and reliability tools.
Behavioral Skills: Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Must be able to collaborate and be a team player.
