Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a Technical Lead position in the Cable fabrication value stream.  The Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring a team of engineers, serving as the team technical expert, and leading strategic initiatives. They are responsible for enhancing the team's technical expertise, solving complex challenges using advanced problem-solving tools, and driving continuous improvement within their technical team. This position requires close  collaboration with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Test Engineering. The desired candidate will possess superb communication skills and be capable to work in a dynamic team environment.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support to factory

  • Ability to travel as required 

  • Responsible for the technical aptitude and expertise within the team

  • Own/support the technical aspects of relevant processes

  • Lead / coach continuous improvement activities

  • Lead/support root cause and corrective action

  • Contribute to the development of long-term technical strategies

  • Coordinate with other teams and cross-functional technical leaders to resolve challenges

  • Partner with applicable Manufacturing Design Engineering groups on product or program transitions

  • Execution/reporting of technical metrics

  • Create, implement, refine, and drive technical processes and capture/share critical subject matter expertise

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.  U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with cable fabrication including point to point, branched harnesses, and radio frequency

  • Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming  

  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing methods through process modernization 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbal and written, for driving results and project execution

  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques 

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, OneNote) 

  • Active SECRET clearance
