What your day-to-day will look like:
Execute diverse mechanical work orders including high-purity piping installations, process system repairs, soldering copper pipe, and maintaining standard building plumbing and drainage systems
Monitor and log critical system usage data from water and gas meters into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), analyzing trends to identify potential failures before they impact operations
Maintain and inspect life-safety equipment including emergency eyewash stations and safety showers in accordance with ANSI/OSHA standards and facility protocols
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Process Cooling Water (PCW), Deionized (DI) Water systems, and Industrial Waste Neutralization (IWN) systems to ensure continuous R&D operations
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional trades to support evolving tool hook-ups, facility improvements, and infrastructure upgrades
Work in both standard facility areas and controlled cleanroom environments wearing specialized PPE ("bunny suits") while following strict contamination control protocols
Provide on-call support for critical facility systems to maintain high-uptime operations and respond to urgent maintenance needs
Required Qualifications:
3–5+ years of hands-on experience in pipefitting, plumbing, or industrial mechanical maintenance
Demonstrated proficiency in soldering, brazing, and joining various pipe materials including PVC, CPVC, stainless steel, and copper
Experience working in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or similar controlled-environment facilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital work order management systems or CMMS platforms
Strong technical competence with ability to interpret technical drawings, system schematics, and equipment specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Journey-level pipefitting or plumbing certification or equivalent demonstrated technical competency
Working knowledge of specialized water treatment systems including Process Cooling Water (PCW) and Deionized (DI) Water systems
Familiarity with Industrial Waste Neutralization (IWN) systems and pH balancing protocols
Understanding of ANSI Z358.1 standards for emergency eyewash and shower equipment maintenance
Experience working in cleanroom environments (Class 100/10/1) and comfort wearing specialized cleanroom PPE
Advanced analytical skills with ability to perform root-cause analysis using system data logs and trend monitoring
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and willingness to support diverse facility needs
