THE OPPORTUNITY
Michelin has Fall 2025 openings for an Engineering Internship / Co-Op in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science. This opportunity is located at our MARC site. Students will be responsible for working on a project team to analyze data, improve production and quality performance. WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Provide leadership, support, and direction to empower wage production operators to achieve their common objectives.
- Work effectively with maintenance, quality, and other cross functional teams to meet daily/annual performance goals and continuous improvement/progress efforts.
- Monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development and career growth.
- Facilitate the identification and implementation of process and team improvements.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (Monday-Friday on day shift).
- The ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
- Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university.
- US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis. This position is not available for immigration sponsorship.

Project 1 - Study the scale-up of production processes from lab to pilot to industry. Research the impact of process levers on flexible composite performance via parametric studies. Project 2 - Explore the latest in sustainable, nano-materials, and Michelin proprietary raw materials in the exploration of new flexible elastomeric composites. Project 3 - Explore new design spaces and further exploit formulation levers in Michelin's development of new materials to meet the demands of future products.
