THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has Fall 2025 openings for an Engineering Internship / Co-Op in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science. This opportunity is located at our MARC site. WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Provide leadership, support, and direction to empower wage production operators to achieve their common objectives.
• Work effectively with maintenance, quality, and other cross functional teams to meet daily/annual performance goals and continuous improvement/progress efforts.
• Monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development and career growth.
• Facilitate the identification and implementation of process and team improvements.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (Monday-Friday on day shift).
• The ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
• Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university.
• US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis. This position is not available for immigration sponsorship.

Project Examples:

Project 1 - Study the scale-up of production processes from lab to pilot to industry.  Research the impact of process levers on flexible composite performance via parametric studies.  Create, innovate, and test your solutions at Michelin Americas Research Center.  Join our team and collaborate with experts in the development of composite materials.

Project 2 - Explore the latest in sustainable, nano-materials, and Michelin proprietary raw materials in the exploration of new flexible elastomeric composites.  Create, innovate, and test your solutions at Michelin Americas Research Center.  Join our team and collaborate with experts in the development of composite materials.
 

Project 3 - Explore new design spaces and further exploit formulation levers in Michelin's development of new materials to meet the demands of future products.
