What You’ll Work On
The Technical Document Coordinator is responsible for supporting safe, compliant, and efficient contractor work within the Abbott Nutrition Sturgis facility. This role coordinates contractor activities, prepares and maintains required risk assessment documentation, and serves as a key liaison between site personnel, contractors, and cross‑functional support teams. The position plays a vital role in protecting employee safety, product integrity, and facility operations while reinforcing a strong Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture.
- Create and maintain comprehensive risk assessments for all contractor work performed within the facility, including mitigation strategies for both personnel and product safety.
- Support the assessment and mitigation of safety risks associated with construction activities and major maintenance work.
- Ensure contractor activities meet all Abbott, division, plant, and regulatory EHS, food safety, and quality requirements.
- Facilitates communication between external contractors and Abbott personnel.
- Communicate daily with operations, maintenance, engineering, and support teams to align on planned contractor activities.
- Aligns contractor coordinator assignments to ensure adequate coverage, efficient workflows, and alignment with plant priorities.
- Participate in and contribute to Tier 1 Meetings, Contractor Meetings, and Tier 2 Meetings, as required.
