Job Description:
Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) at Iowa State University is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Systems Analyst I or II. This position will work as a member of the IOPS (Infrastructure and Operations IT) team, which manages infrastructure that supports instruction across units on campus.
The person in this role will work with other members of the IOPS team, along with various other IT teams on campus, to administer both Linux and Windows servers, as well as the server infrastructure that hosts them, and to manage computer labs running a variety of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, and Linux). The responsibilities of the Systems Analyst II will also include designing and/or recommending information technology solutions to meet the needs of campus.
The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple computing technologies and platforms, as well as some degree of experience with scripting and automation, and a history of working in a collaborative environment.
This candidate may be hired at a level I or II, depending on experience:
Level I: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (PS808)
Level II: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience (PS809)
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
