Our company is looking for an energetic, eager-to-learn Entry-Level Project Manager to join our team! Job Duties:
- Serves as liaison between the customer, sales, and manufacturing.
- Reviews the order, check against the estimate, and ensure that proper materials are ordered within the scheduled timeline.
- Creates job file document for each order, including requisitions, customer instructions or other required items.
- Orders and delivers pre-production aids such as templates, dummies or other items required by the customer.
- Create work instructions for pre-press, press and/or post-press vendors.
- Ensures that proofs and samples are delivered on time to the proper persons for each order.
- Communicates with customer and sales on job status, events, information etc.
- Communicates with internal departments on job information, changes, problems, etc.
- Monitors pre-production activity to ensure material and plates are available as needed for press start up.
- Create layout(s) and job instructions to meet customer requirements for quantity, quality and delivery.
- Create and/or file change notices when generated for each order and place in billing file.
- Monitors post-production activity to ensure product is delivered or mailed on time.
- Provides shipping tally sheets and other reports or documentations required by customers for billing purposes.
- Forwards order file and all required documentation to billing for invoicing of the order.
- Maintains files and records on customers, routine orders, stored product or other items as required.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
JOB SKILLS:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with solid math abilities.
- Comfortable with measuring tools and office equipment, with above-average interpersonal, organizational, and phone skills.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and experience with print-related documentation.
- Proficient typing and computer skills are a must; experience with ERP systems and Visio is a bonus!
- MS Excell skills required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of prepress, wide variety of printing processes, in line and post press lettershop finishing, USPS specifications is a plus.
EDUCATION: High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One to three years’ experience in an office environment a plus.
