About the position
We are seeking an energetic and charismatic Show Server/Host Character to serve as the immersive tour guide for our Le Petit Chef Fun Dining Experience. In this role, you will guide guests through a captivating culinary journey, introducing them to each course while transporting them to different regions of France. As the tour guide, you'll weave together storytelling, humor, and expert knowledge of French cuisine, creating an interactive and unforgettable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for performance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to connect with guests in a fun, engaging way.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Play the role of Le Petit Chef, an animated character, and interact with guests during the dining experience.
- Create memorable, interactive moments with guests throughout their meal.
- Actively participate in the restaurant's interactive dining story.
- Seats and takes accurate food orders from guests
- Consistently stay in character throughout the performance.
- Ensure all guest interactions are positive, fun, and respectful.
- Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients.
- Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
- Totals checks, presents to guests and accept payment
- Assists with bussing tables
- Perform various other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIRMENTS.
- Character Dining (highly preferred)
- French Character Accent Required
- Previous experience in acting, live performance, or a similar role in interactive entertainment, theme parks, or immersive dining experiences is preferred.
- Strong acting skills, with the ability to improvise and interact with guests in a fun, engaging, and professional manner.
- A high-energy, engaging personality with a natural ability to captivate and entertain diverse audiences.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong sense of comedic timing.
- A passion for guest interaction and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere through performance.
- Ability to maintain high energy throughout the duration of the performance.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic situations and improvise if necessary
- Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other performers, staff, and management.
- Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role

- Ability to stay in character throughout the shift, including accents, behavior, and themed dialogue.

- Ability to stay in Character through out the dining experience.
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic.
- Clear and engaging verbal communication.
- Reading the room and adjusting performance or service style to match guest energy.
- Conflict De-escalation – Gracefully handling difficult guests while remaining in character.
- Prioritizing guest enjoyment and satisfaction.
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
- Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
