Medical Technologist – Core Lab (32 Hours, Evenings, 3p-11p)

Position: Medical Technologist

Department: Core Lab

Schedule: 32 Hours, Evenings, 3p-11p, Every Other Weekend, Part-Time, Benefit Eligible

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Performs a wide range of complex clinical laboratory analyses in all major sections of the Laboratory. Recognizes problems, identifies causes, synthesizes alternatives, and applies solutions. Confirms and verifies results through an in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instrumentation. Reports to the Section Head.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

MT (ASCP) or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and organizational skills

• Exercises accuracy and precision in completion of prescribed tasks and treatments.
