Lead Equip Service Tech- Weekend

Responsibilities:

• Direct the operations of assigned work area.
• Function as the go-to person for Technicians and Support Technicians.
• Oversee equipment zones and is responsible for the Preventive and General Maintenance of all identified machines in a plant/zone.
• Organize and assign work according to the maintenance schedule.
• Coordinate and assist in the training of current and new department employees.
• Work with the Equipment Service Supervisor and/or Manager for direction on problems, planning, and personnel issues.
• Locate and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine problems.
• Work with outside servicemen, plant managers, supervisors, and operators.
• Work with Production Planners to order parts and department materials.
• Find, order, or make parts required to fix machines.
• Use lift trucks and other equipment to move, hook up and level machines.
• Do paperwork to keep records of machine problems and machine upkeep.
• Utilize basic computer skills. i.e. word, excel, outlook.
• Utilize CMMS system for machine repair documentation as needed.
• Maintain parts inventories in each plant.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Read and understand electric, hydraulic, and machine prints and diagrams.
• Accurately diagnose machine problems and find best repair alternatives.  
• Basic math (including fractions and decimals), remember, reason, analyze and troubleshoot
