About the role

DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our team in our Chicago, IL office. You will provide services to predominantly US-inbound international businesses (primarily German/European) in the manufacturing and distribution industry.   • Review Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topics
  • Collaborate with tax specialists on complex tax issues
  • Assist with the review and completion of tax returns and related client correspondence
  • Assist with the preparation and review of income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
  • Deliver timely and high-quality services that exceed client expectations
  • Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates and interns
What you need to bring:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal and state income tax, including experience in public accounting 
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
  • Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry
  • CCH Axcess tax experience
  • Excellent research, writing and communication skills in English
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Positive team player attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA license or similar certification
  • ProSystem fx Engagement
