Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the head women’s soccer coach, this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the University’s varsity women’s soccer program. The assistant coach will primarily provide assistance in coaching instruction to women’s Soccer student-athletes during practices and games. This position requires frequent interaction with the head coach, assistant coaches and athletic trainers to help promote a successful and positive athletic experience for all women’s soccer student-athletes. This position works under general supervision of the head coach.
Essential Functions:

Responsible for enhancing the performance of women’s soccer student-athletes.
Assist with the implementation of the practice plans athletes approved and/or established by the head coach.
Works with coaches to determine progress and making needed individual adjustments.
Attends practices and games.
Assist coaching staff with administrative tasks, as assigned by the head coach. This includes but is not limited to driving vans, scouting, monitoring and managing analysis of heart monitors to enhance load management, fundraising, and volunteering.
Assists in the recruiting efforts designed to attract academically qualified and athletically gifted student-athletes to program.
Evaluates prospective student-athletes in-person and through reports from high school coaches on their athletic and academic performance.
Keeps all recruiting records in good order and provides regular reports to the Head Coach on the recruitment status of each prospective student-athlete.
Reports any major concerns or attention for recruitment related issues to the head coach.

Salary Range:
$21.00 -$22.86 per hour.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
15 hours per week.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Travel Required:
Some travel may be required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Approximately 1-2 years coaching experience or experience playing soccer at the collegiate or professional level preferred.
