Are you ready to work at the cutting edge of aerospace manufacturing and inspection? Join our team as an Advanced Technology Quality Engineer (QE) and play a pivotal role in implementing transformative initiatives like Model Based Enterprise (MBE) and multivariate process control (MPC or "Athena") to drive digital connectivity and process alignment across our enterprise.

In this role, you will serve as the Quality Point of Contact, helping to integrate advanced technologies into our processes and ensuring that comprehensive, aligned solutions are developed across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance quality, and create sustainable solutions. Strong quality system knowledge, familiarity with data analysis, and the ability to query data from enterprise database systems is a must.

This is a remote based role with travel required up to 75%, including visits to internal manufacturing sites and key supplier locations. This position requires frequent travel in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island), Georgia, North Carolina and the midwestern region. Candidate must work East Coast hours with residence in preference in East Hartford, CT; Middletown, CT; Columbus, GA or Asheville, North Carolina.

What You Will Do:

  • Athena Implementation and Support: Lead the adoption and deployment of the Athena framework across internal manufacturing sites and with key suppliers. Develop site-specific deployment plans, including training, standard work updates, communication, and change management strategies.
  • Feedback Coordination: Act as the liaison between producers, engineering, supplier quality, operations excellence, and digital technology teams, facilitating feedback and driving continuous improvement opportunities for the Athena and MBE initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Utilize process analysis tools and lean manufacturing principles to drive process optimization, stabilize complex manufacturing processes, and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use statistical evaluation methods, process control tools, and enterprise database systems to analyze data, monitor processes, and support quality improvements.
  • MBE Business Integration Lead: Serve as the business integration quality lead for the MBE Connected Production Environment, including strategic planning and aligning processes between MBE and Athena solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Gain experience in managing large-scale, multi-functional projects across engineering, quality, operations, and supplier teams.
  • Process Expertise: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Athena workflow, including manufacturing, inspection, digital analysis, and producer feedback loops.
  • Advanced Analytics: Develop expertise in multivariate and principal component analysis to monitor and improve complex manufacturing systems.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Quality, or a related field; or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable product quality improvements.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing and inspection processe
