This individual contributor role will support site leaders at our Durham, Charlotte and Allegheny Reprocessing Centers.  This role will drive the strategic vision of the business as it aligns with HR initiatives and programs focusing on Talent Development, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement and day-to-day HR functions.  
 
This role provides HR leadership, consultation, and advocacy supporting approximately 250 employees based in Durham, North Carolina.  You will work directly with a multicultural team.

 

This role will require time spent in the Durham office. Additionally this role will require travel to the Charlotte, NC and Allegheny, PA locations. 

Duties

  • Responsible for supporting and leading HR solutions in alignment with the business strategies of assigned business group(s) and/or location(s). 
  • Provide HR Support to business area/department/location(s) - Partners with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions to assigned segment(s) of the business or location(s).
  • Employee Relations/Performance Management – consult with and coach managers as they handle performance issues and talent development needs.  Directly handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations and recommend solutions. 
  • Lead HR programs and projects – HR research, project management, reporting/ analytics, and champion HR initiatives.
  • Recruiting – full lifecycle support.  May partner with central recruiting team to guide selection process with assigned areas.
  • Training –facilitate HR training sessions as needed, and help develop training programs.

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • 5+ years progressive HR Generalist experience required.
  • 3 years of experience must include recruiting, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, training and development, and compensation practices.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, ATS).
  • Experience with MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). 
  • Extensive background in Employment Law, both State and Federal; Preventive Labor Relations; Environmental Health and Safety and Security.
     

Preferred Experience

  • Master's Degree / MBA preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are helpful but not required.
  • Healthcare, Medical Devices, Biotech or Manufacturing industry experience is helpful.
  • PHR certification preferred.
     

Skills

  1. Works independently, partnering with assigned  business / location and HR Director for overall business group.  
  2. Serves as a HR business partner to local site leaders and/or business segment leaders. 
  3. Understands strategic goals, but works mostly at a tactical level.
  4. Aligns goals, programs, initiatives with strategic business goals.  
  5. Performance management,  talent development, recruitment,  ER issues, HR metrics and data accuracy for assigned area.
