The Work You Will Do:
Automotive Equipment Mechanic II and District Six/Director of Operations/District Maintenance
This position will support FDOT by ensuring that all agency vehicles and heavy equipment remain safe, reliable, and fully operational through skilled diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. It maintains compliance with waste‑handling policies, ensures accurate documentation and parts management, and provides timely response to emergency road service needs. By training others, supporting shop operations, and keeping equipment in optimal condition, the role helps sustain FDOT’s ability to deliver transportation services efficiently and safely.
