About the role

The Grant Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to all grant-funded activities, including public and private grants. This position plays a critical role in grant budget management, receivables, and compliance by ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of grant funds in alignment with organizational goals and funder requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in nonprofit grant accounting or fund accounting.

• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software (MIP preferred).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
