Description

 

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking to hire an intern who will support the Office of the Chief of Staff in Central Office Boston.

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):                                                                                                             

  • Assist with the application of culturally linguistically appropriate services (CLAS) to key projects.                         
  • Research CLAS resources
  • Assist in development and conducting of needs assessments
  • Review varied sources to establish baseline metrics and develop performance metrics
  • Assist in development tools and resources for the central office and the field based on results of needs assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse population
  • Ability to gather and summarize information, and to write effectively.
  • Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.

Period of Service:  May 27, 2025 through August 29, 2025

Additional Information:

  • Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.
  • All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.
  • The salary for this position is $19- 27 an hour.
  • Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
