POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues for equipment and machinery in the plant. This will include repairing manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), painting, and other building systems to ensure reliability, availability and safety of equipment and systems. Must have a strong electrical knowledge and background. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and prioritizes work for equipment that is down
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Performs Mechanic Preventative Maintenance as required
  • Develops maintenance procedures and schedules including operator PM’s
  • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
  • Completes electrical drops for workstations and equipment with Operations Leadership
  • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
  • Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to
  • enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development
  • Comply with comprehensive safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and provide ongoing training to ensure a
  • secure work environment, fostering a safety-conscious culture among staff
  • Maintain a systematic approach to 5S principles, enforcing standards for cleanliness and organization, conducting
  • inspections, and providing training to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 6+ years related mechanical and electrical experience and/or training, equivalent combination of education and
  • experience
  • Proficient in using ERP or Distribution Systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and
  • Outlook
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
  • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed
  • Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
  • Mechanically inclined with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design
  • Ability to follow highly complex directions
  • Demonstrates skill in writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work
  • Displays diligence in completing tasks in a timely manner, utilizing effective time management skills
  • Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance
  • instructions, and procedure manuals


Work Environment

This role involves working in a warehouse and manufacturing setting. In this setting, standard equipment such as machinery,

computers, cameras, and material handling equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.) are used.
