They will interact with many departments across the organization and be a trusted partner within finance and operations.  </span></span></p> <h2><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Govern and provide expert advice and analysis on all standard cost updates: the annual standard cost process, costing of newly released products and business opportunities, and periodic reviews of individual part costs to ensure they are current and accurately reflect manufacturing costs. </span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure bills of materials and routings are accurate as well as procurement for purchasing information records.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Partner with the master data to implement best practices in maintaining the fields relevant to product costing.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Analyze global variances (production/purchase price/freight) to ensure accuracy of Standard Costs.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Ensure the integrity of the EEP legacy SAP environment and maintain data in that environment to ensure costing continues to transact correctly in that system;</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Participate in S4 Hana go-lives as well as other SAP initiatives as the subject matter expert in all areas related to standard costing and variances.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Ensure appropriate controls and compliance with US GAAP.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Support and assist in the global initiatives relating to cost accounting for all regions/divisions of West.</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Support and assist other functions within the business as required.</span></span></span></li> </ul> <h2><b>Basic Qualifications</b></h2> <ul> <li><span><span>Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business with concentration in Accounting/Finance </span></span></li> <li><span><span>Experience:<b> </b> 3-5 years of experience</span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Extensive knowledge of SAP</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Understanding of the manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Knowledge of supply chain, receiving, inventory flow, operations process and manufacturing principles</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Strong ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail in an enterprise resource planning system and articulate the key findings to senior management</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Ability to multi-task and drive actions to completion under strict deadlines</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span>Understanding of GAAP and internal control principles</span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>High </span>proficiency in Microsoft Excel</span></span></li> </ul> <h2><b>Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></h2> <ul> <li><span><span><span><span><span>MBA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA</span></span></span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span><span><span>Prior SAP implementation experience</span></span></span></span></span></li> </ul> <h2><b>Travel Req
