AVER is seeking a Tech Writer / Communications Analyst to provide technical and operational support to assist stakeholders with identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and supporting the Government’s activities in establishing and coordinating outreach programs and stakeholder partnerships. Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing and editing content (i.e. Word documents, Briefings, etc.) to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality
- Communicating with SMEs and authors for updates and coordinating reviews, briefings, etc.
- Ensuring all project documentation is technically accurate and up to date.
- Communicating with SMEs and authors for updates and coordinating reviews, briefings, etc.
- Translating complex technical information into easy-to-understand language for non-technical audiences
- Creating/maintaining knowledge management repositories to include but not be limited by internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assessment scheduling and prioritization processes, and other process improvements
- Assist with ensuring documents have proper formatting (style guide compliance)
- Creating visually engaging documents and artifacts
- Supporting Vulnerability Management Intake team during surges to triage and assign requests for information to proper channels.
- Performing data entry and tracking of new service requests within JIRA and ServiceNow
- Working on high-visibility, mission critical aspects of a federal program and perform all functional duties independently.
- Working in collaborative environment with various client project teams, including federal staff and contractors
- Developing communication plans for the office and assists in the implementation of the plans
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to improve processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to create and maintain documentation such as business requirements and process flows
- Ability to create document visualization (i.e. graphics)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow & JIRA
- Familiarity with cybersecurity terminology and technologies
- Familiarity with Knowledge Management
- HYBRID (If Local to DC – In office once a month)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
- This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
