Job Description
As a Security Officer - Utilities Site Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .
As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal at the location.

Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
