The Work You Will Do:
Highway Maintenance Technician I – District Five / DeLand Maintenance
This position will perform Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic), use a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools to maintain bridges and roadways and perform carpentry, masonry, and painting and/or assist in the assembly of highway signs.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Uses a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools to maintain bridges and roadways. Performs independent manual labor incidental to job assignments at an intermediate level of complexity with minimal supervision. Operates a motor vehicle to travel to and from work sites.
Performs pre-trip inspection/minor maintenance on vehicles/equipment. Cleans and washes equipment.
Performs rough carpentry, masonry, painting and/or assist in the assembly and erection of highway signs.
Performs Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic).
